I don’t recall how I wound up here. I can’t sleep and I can’t dream. I’m blinded and I’m ruined. I’m in a fuzzy state of mind. I don’t care how I wound up here. It’s all right, it’s all right. I’m talking to a mirror. I’m playing games in my own head. How can I keep waiting for the right moment? How can I keep staying in the same place? I want to wander off whenever. I want the toppled yellow moon. How can I keep staring at the same buildings? How can I keep howling in the dead of night? I want to hold you very tightly. I want to feel the burning heat. Make your feet come back. Make your legs come back. The way they went so long ago. Plant your feet and legs below.

You ask me for things I don’t have, so don’t try. It’s just a matter of time I want no more. You play a guilty game that’s run its course. I do all right and I won't complain at all. But still it’s hurting the way I think of you. While I’m coping to grasp your point of view. Never mind, do I look like them? Do you think that I can help, my friend? I realise you’re in a troubled place, while I’m not. But don’t entice me for that, I feel accused. I’m in over my head and so confused. I wish that I could do you any good, but I can’t. It’s just a matter of time I want no more. You play a guilty game that’s run its course. Never mind, do I look like them? Do you think that I can help, my friend? We’ve taken our shoes off and happily eaten the dirt off our plates, so now what is next? We’ve favoured the gods and we’re all satisfied, though the money is gone, so what can I do? We’re all under qualified notion-less children, but somehow it’s fine to take what is ours. We’ve reached our success weight and trashed the apartment, but all we have left is a drink and ourselves.

about

Nairobi Golf Kid Enschede, The Netherlands

Musical four piece from Enschede and Utrecht, Holland. We combine sounds we like with atmospheric rhythms and a nice touch of melancholy. Normally, we just stick to the term 'indie rock', but we tend to mention genres like experimental rock, neo-psychedelia and new wave when that doesn't do the job. Sometimes we like to dance. ... more
